One of our most popular recent posts was an exploration of Frederick MacMonnies's statue Civic Virtue, which once stood in front of City Hall in Manhattan, but is now falling apart near Queens Borough Hall. The New York Daily News has long followed the statue's trials and tribulations, and published an interesting piece yesterday about the "secret" plan to move the statue to Green-Wood cemetery.
